My Aquarius season post is up at SerenWitchery! Thank you for sharing my post!
It's Aquarius Season! Thank you again to Kara Suze of Inner Mystic Astrology fo your amazing insights! Is your sun sign Aquarius? Let us know in the comments!
Aquarius season starts off a powerhouse of a month. Aquarius is fixed air. The symbol is the water bearer and the reason why many people mistakenly think Aquarius is a water sign. Aquarius rules the ankles. Aquarius is ruled by the planet Saturn in traditional astrology and co-ruled by the planet Uranus in modern astrology. Saturn’s energy asks us to be aware of society’s rules and care about our reputation, however, Aquarius’ co-ruler Uranus asks us how we can shake up the status quo and free ourselves from the shackles of tradition and other people’s opinions and think outside of the box. Aquarian energy is interested in the future and innovative ideas that help instigate change to benefit the collective. Aquarians are known to be humanitarians, rebellious, analytical, truthful, progressive, curious, and deeply social.
My father is an Aquarius. His way of thinking was way ahead of his time. He served on a medical board and helped bring in new technology that would benefit the hospital and its patients.
During vacations, my dad would come back to my mom and let her know that they were getting together with some new friends that he met playing golf only mere hours before. Aquarians are all about teamwork, collaboration and thinking about the “greater good.” Aquarius is represented by the Star card in tarot. In this card, they have one foot planted in soil (represents being grounded) and one foot positioned in the water. Aquarius is holding a vase, which pours new streams of inspiration to give healing and hope. Aquarians can appear to be cold and emotionally detached at times as they can be too much in their “head.”
My dad was the hip dad. don’t know any other dad that would watch “True Romance” movie with me and get a kick out of this cutting edge and sometimes shocking Quentin Tarantino movie which was way ahead of its time. My dad encouraged critical thinking skills (question everything!), thinking out of the box, and encouraged my rebellious streak (thanks, Dad!) much to my mom’s chagrin.
Some important transits to be aware of:
On January 20th, we have a Pluto Cazimi and we have Pluto changing signs from Capricorn to Aquarius. This is like a once-in-a-lifetime kind of transit. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798 and this period was a game changer in the history of mankind with important events like The French Revolution and the Irish Uprising taking place during these years. This is going to help set the tone for the next 20 years. With the Pluto Cazimi happening, think more about what you want to see more of in your life? Do something on this day that reflects what you want to see more of, in terms of what lights you up. For example, do you want to see more creativity? Then do something creative on this day to make good use of this Pluto Cazimi (where the Sun and Pluto make a conjunction).
January 25th : Full Moon in Leo. This is the time to find what makes you shine your brightest and embrace that part of yourself despite any fear of rejection. It teaches you to love yourself fiercely and let love change the world. With Leo's energy governing the full Moon, we are encouraged to focus on the heart's truth
January 26: Uranus retrograde ends. This is an opportune time for this retrograde to end as we’ve been delving deep. To figure out things and some situations may be been unexpected for you recently and it’s caused you to think a little bit differently when finding a solution. Now with the retrograde ending, you may feel empowered to move forward with your new perspectives.
February 9: New Moon in Aquarius. New moons are good times to set intentions. What kind of intentions do you want to set for yourself? Where are areas you can step out of your comfort zone so you can make progress and move forward?
February 10: Lunar New Year! This is what feels like to be a natural new year for me, not January 1. Lunar New Year is the celebration of the arrival of spring!
Aquarius celebrities: Harry Styles, Michael Jordan, Chris Rock, Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys, Elizabeth Olsen, Rainn Wilson, Guy Fieri, Elijah Wood, Tom Selleck, Justin Timberlake, Isla Fisher, Ashton Kutcher, Tom Hiddleston, Chloe Grace Moretz, Emma Roberts, Elizabeth Banks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Molly Ringwald, and, John Travolta.
