Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), a newer, neuroscience-informed therapy approach I’ve been deeply drawn to. Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) was developed by Dr. Frank Corrigan. DBR works with the earliest imprint of our trauma experience—the part that happens before we even know we’re feeling something. It begins with the body registering a threat - milliseconds before our brain has an opportunity to develop thoughts or feelings to interpret the threat. It is a subtle, powerful, and deeply respectful therapy which honors the body’s wisdom.

We are now offering Brainspotting!!

Brainspotting leverages the natural connection between eye movement and emotional processing. During a session, the therapist uses a pointer to help clients identify brainspots—specific eye positions linked to unresolved emotions or memories. Clients have the option to listen to soothing bilateral sound to assist with processing.

By focusing on a brainspot, clients can:

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a AMAZING trauma treatment! I feel so grateful to be able to see the benefits to clients when working at the brainstem level for processing trauma, attachment shock and attachment wounding.

DBR is a neuroscience-based treatment for PTSD that targets the sequence of events that occurred in the brainstem at the time of the traumatic event. More to come on DBR...
