or awkward,
or ‘too much’.

The worst thing you can be,
unequivocally,
is locked in a prison of your own self-doubt,
riddled with insecurities,
afraid to venture out into this life,
lest the world see who you really are.

In short,
the worst thing you can be,
is someone else.

May is Maternal Mental Health month! I'd like to include ALL birthing individuals in this category and also bring attention to our BIPOC community members who are, devastatingly, 3 times more likely to suffer from postpartum health complications compared to white birthing individuals. I'd like to share this link to the Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color. Please share it with anyone who needs this resource.

PMHA-POC was created to fill a gap in support services for professionals and communities of color around perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
