As the founder of Creative Works Ministries & owner of Creative Works Studio /Mentoring Solutions of Richmond Virginia. Crystal Williams helps the young and old heal from past/present traumas, discover purpose and find greatness within; so that they will be fully delivered and not feel forsaken and distressed. Minister Crystal Williams is an author, speaker and certified art therapist. She utilizes therapeutic arts, prayer, and natural resources to discern and meet the client needs; and have the ability to provide spiritual nutrition that empower them for success. But her life hasn’t always been this way or about these works…She has known deep loss in almost every area of my life…loss of job and wealth, loss of relationships and health. She has been at the top of her game and completely at the bottom of the pit and near death’s door. Yet, because of her overcoming testimony and the joy of regaining my life, she now know what matters most and is fully qualified to share her experiences, wisdom, empathy and solutions with everyone in her sphere of influence. As an emerging prophetic voice she provides therapeutic art, faith-based counseling and a variety of art services.

Today in our recovery group session, we explored identity through a creative and spiritual lens.

Each participant chose one focus and each choice revealed something deeper.

💡 Lights ✨ What is God illuminating in this season?
Where is He bringing clarity, hope, or renewed vision?
The canvas became a reflection of encouragement and divine direction.

📷 Camera ✨ What moments are you holding onto?
Are you capturing gratitude… or replaying a season that’s hard to release?
Through art, we gently examined the past not to live there, but to learn, heal, and move forward with wisdom.

🪞 Mirrors ✨How do you see yourself?
Are you viewing yourself through insecurity, shame, strength, or truth?
We reflected on the difference between how we see ourselves and how God sees us chosen, called, and created with purpose.

Healing requires honesty. Growth requires courage.
And sometimes breakthrough begins with a brushstroke.

Today, we honor Rosa Parks on her birthday and celebrate her lasting legacy during Black History Month.

Rosa Parks taught the world that courage doesn’t always roar sometimes it quietly says “No” and changes history forever. Her strength, dignity, and refusal to accept injustice ignited a movement and reminded us all that purpose is often born from pain, resilience, and unwavering self-worth.

At Creative Works Studio, we believe that same truth lives within each of us.
Through the art of painting, we help individuals heal hearts and discover purpose, working through past or present trauma in a safe, expressive, and empowering way. Art becomes the voice when words fall short. It becomes the space where healing begins and identity is reclaimed.

Every artist/participant has a signature that is reveals in all of their artwork. It's like a fingerprint, no matter how much the artist or participant can try to hide it, it’s still revealed.
This signature print is the perspectives of what the artist has experienced and expressed. Self- discovery takes place because it also reveals the mind and heart of the artist/participant.
The old clique “A picture is worth 1000 words” is not far from truth in the natural and the spirit.

Celebrating the Journey🎉Creative Works Studio

In 2018, Creative Works Studio was birthed from a simple but powerful vision: to help heal hearts and discover purpose through the art of painting.

What began as faith-based work centered on prophetic arts, prophetic empowerment, and emotional wellness across the canvas has expanded over the years as we listened, learned, and responded to the real needs of people and communities.

Today, our services include art therapy, veteran affairs support, juvenile missions, mental health facilitation, empowerment intensives, Paint Talk sessions, senior services, family counseling, and addiction recovery services each designed to create space for healing, clarity, and restoration.

Since our beginning, we’ve had the honor of serving thousands of families, offering free art therapy experiences to 300–500 participants each year. Our reach has extended throughout Richmond, Virginia, the Tri-Cities area, and fourteen additional cities, and we are not done yet.

We are willing and called to travel wherever purpose leads and wherever there is a God-given assignment. Healing hearts and discovering purpose is not something we take lightly; it is a responsibility we carry with care, excellence, and intention.

To every individual and family who has journeyed with us whether from the very beginning, for a single moment, or over many seasons thank you. Thank you for trusting Creative Works Studio to be part of your emotional wellness regimen and your purpose discovery plan.
