To most, this is just a picture of a random street in a random neighborhood. But to me, this tiny little hill was a really really big hill about 8 years ago.
I was pregnant with my daughter, I didn’t know really anyone in the area. I would go on walks in this neighborhood every single day, of course, being pregnant, this little hill kicked my butt. My husband and I had one car that he took to work everyday on Fort Bragg. We had just moved to North Carolina from Colorado. I was a Massage Therapist then, but I wasn’t practicing at that time. I knew that I still wanted to practice Massage, I just didn’t know what it was going to look like, especially with a baby.

Today, about eight years later, my daughter is at school, and I had about an hour to go for a walk. Seeing this little hill and knowing how much it used to suck was a beautiful reminder of how much has happened and how much I have accomplished since then.
Prasāda is a big part of that. I am so grateful for any person that’s either let me step foot into their house to massage them when I didn’t have my own space yet and I was doing mobile massage; to each person that came to my home and saw me at my in-home studio for years; to the clients that saw me when I broke out of my comfort zone and rented a room inside of Bronde Salon…And now, to every person who comes through the door of the Prasāda studio. Thank you. Many of you have been with me since day 1 and I am constantly astonished that the career I chose so many years ago has unfolded into this.
It’s “work” but it’s never felt that way. It’s my passion, my art. I am grateful. 💛
