the february 1 full moon at ~13° leo arrives like a warm, steady flame at the center of the chest. it is a culmination that asks for presence rather than performance — a moment where what has been quietly growing inside finally asks to be seen, felt, and honored. opposite the aquarius sun, this moon holds the tension between the personal and the collective, the singular voice and the wider chorus. as the final major lunation before eclipse season opens on february 17, it feels like a threshold — illuminating what has ripened, what can no longer remain hidden, and what must be gently released before larger, fated currents begin to move us forward.
this full moon also unfolds alongside a deeper turning of the wheel — the waning of the year of the snake, a symbol of shedding skins, ancient knowing, and slow, deliberate transformation. together with the approaching aquarius new moon and solar eclipse, we are shifting from inner alchemy into visible re-patterning, both in our own lives and in the structures around us. the leo full moon reminds us that evolution is not only systemic or cosmic — it is intimate, embodied, and creative. each act of self-truth becomes a quiet offering to the whole. to stand in our light now is not to stand alone, but to recognize ourselves as a living thread, woven into the greater web. 🌕✨
