Excellent news! This is going to be so beneficial to our patients!

🎉 We're thrilled to announce that Sarasota Memorial is moving forward with plans to bring its nationally recognized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to SMH-Venice with a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Pavilion.

The future four-story pavilion will feature 50 private inpatient suites, advanced therapy gyms, mobility-training areas, and spaces designed to replicate real-life environments for recovery and independent living. The first floor will house outpatient therapy and administrative offices, with a shelled fourth floor reserved for future growth.

💬 “It will mirror the nationally recognized programs and amenities at our Sarasota campus while offering care closer to home to residents in the growing south county community," said Maria DeCarlo, VP of Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Services at SMH.

You may have seen this wonderful piece hanging in our waiting room! Dr Miller is not just an excellent physician but an excellent quilter too! Dr Pam, her sister, and her mom are all avid quilters and alll of the pieces you see in our office were made by them. The coolest part of this one in particular? No pattern was followed, it was done piece by piece …by scratch!!

We have officially approached our one year mark of MDVIP! What is MDVIP? Medical Doctors Value-Integrated Prevention. It is a network of primary care physicians who provide personalized, preventive, and concierge medicine services. Want more information and how to sign up to see Dr Pamela Miller? Not interested in a concierge practitioner? No problem! Nurse practitioner Michael is an autonomous nurse practitioner who is not a concierge medicine professional. What does autonomous mean in the world of medicine? An autonomous provider can practice independently, meaning they can evaluate, diagnose, manage patients, and prescribe medication without physician oversight. This type of practice is granted to APRNs who meet specific requirements, including a certain number of clinical practice hours under physician supervision, additional education in differential diagnosis!

We are accepting new patients and we accept Medicare, Humana HMO, Humana PPO, and Cigna! Any insurances beyond this our billing specialist, Lorine, can run eligibility to see if we are in network. Our office recently enjoyed a team building afternoonn at Aqua Silks Studio in Venice! We had a fabulous time and made some amazing pieces! If you’re looking for something fun to do grab a couple friends and go to Aqua Silks Studio! Across from Prime Restaurant at the corner of Venice Ave and Tamiami on the island!
