Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness

Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness Empowering women from young adulthood through postpartum, midlife, and beyond to feel strong, supported, and in control of their pelvic health.

Compassionate, one‑on‑one pelvic floor therapy in Venice, FL. As a wife and mom of two amazing daughters, I understand how hard it can be to balance family, work, and self-care. I love spending time with my family and friends, baking something sweet, traveling, and curling up with a good book. With over 17 years of experience as a physical therapist—and more than a decade specializing in pelvic fl

oor therapy—I’m passionate about helping women of all ages and stages feel confident, strong, and connected to their bodies again. I’ve worked with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and beyond—many of whom deal with leaks when they laugh, sneeze, or exercise, or who struggle with urgency, pain, or core weakness. These things might be common, but they’re not normal… and you don’t have to live with them. My approach is holistic and realistic. I focus on breathing, gentle movement, stress management, posture, sleep, and nutrition—teaching practical strategies that fit easily into your day. My goal is to help you move with confidence, feel at ease in your body, and get back to living life without leaks, pain, or worry.

A lot of women think pelvic PT is complicated…
or that it’s only for right after having a baby.

But this is often where we start.

Simple, intentional movement.
Learning how to breathe.
Reconnecting your core and pelvic floor.

Not pushing harder.
Not jumping back into intense workouts.

Just rebuilding the foundation your body needs.

Because if you’re still dealing with leaking, pressure, or things feeling “off” —
it’s usually not about doing more.

It’s about doing the right things, in the right way.

💛 And it’s never too late to start. If you’ve never been shown how to do this, this is exactly what we work on together.”

If this feels familiar, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

If you are in Venice, FL or nearby, reach out to Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness- I would love to help you get started with a plan that actually fits your body.

Your body grew a baby.
Carried that baby.
Delivered that baby.

And then…
you’re expected to just “bounce back.”

To figure it out on your own.
To return to exercise.
To feel normal again.

Without anyone really showing you how.

But after everything your body has been through —
it doesn’t just need time.

It needs support.
It needs rebuilding.
It needs guidance.

Because this isn’t about “getting your body back.”

It’s about helping your body feel strong, supported, and like yours again. You deserve more than guessing your way through recovery.

Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness is here to support women during postpartum. Reach out if you would love some support during your postpartum journey. I would love to support you.

You went to your 6-week checkup…
and were told everything looks “good.”

Cleared.
Healed.
Good to go.

But when you got back to your normal life…
it didn’t feel that way.

Things still felt weak.
Different.
Unfamiliar in your own body.

Maybe there’s leaking.
Or discomfort.
Or just this feeling that something isn’t quite right.

And it leaves you wondering…
“Is this just how it is now?”

Here’s the part no one really explains:

That 6-week visit is checking that you’re medically stable —not that your body is fully healed, strong, or functioning the way it should.

Healing takes more than time.

It takes support.
Guidance.
And learning how to reconnect with your body again.

💛 You’re not behind.
And you’re definitely not stuck this way. This is exactly what we work on in pelvic PT — helping your body actually feel like yours again.

Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness can help you through your postpartum journey. Reach out to us to see how we can help you. We serve the women in Venice, FL and surrounding areas.

When most people think about preparing for birth…
they think about pushing.

But your pelvic floor isn’t just something that needs to be “strong.”

It needs to be able to let go.
To lengthen.
To coordinate with your breath and your body.

And if no one teaches you how to do that…
you’re left trying to figure it out in the moment. 💛 And that can make a big difference in both your birth experience and your recovery after.

Pelvic PT during pregnancy isn’t just about preventing symptoms —
it’s about helping your body feel more prepared, more connected, and more supported going into labor.

So instead of feeling unsure or tense…
you feel like you understand what your body needs to do. If you’re pregnant and thinking about how to prepare your body for birth, this is exactly what we work on together.”

If you are in Venice, FL or the surrounding areas reach out to Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness and we can help you prepare your body for labor and birth.

You just have to deal with it until the baby comes.”

I hear this from women all the time.

So they push through the leaking.

Ignore the pressure.

Try to work around the discomfort.

Because they think there’s nothing they can do yet.

But your body is already changing.

Already adapting.

Already asking for support.

And when those things get ignored…

they don’t just magically disappear after birth.

You don’t have to wait to start feeling better.

You can support your body now —
in a way that actually makes pregnancy feel more manageable and recovery so much smoother.

If you’re pregnant and something just doesn’t feel right in your body… it’s worth paying attention to. You don’t have to wait it out.

Suncoast Pelvic Therapy & Wellness serves women in Venice FL and the surrounding area. If you are dealing with pelvic health issues reach out to us to see how we can help.

Most women don’t think about their pelvic floor…
until something feels off.

But during pregnancy, your body is already giving you signs.

Sometimes it’s subtle —
a little leaking, a little pressure, things just feeling different.

And it’s easy to brush it off.
To tell yourself it’s “just part of it.”

But those small signs?
They matter.

They’re your body’s way of saying it needs support — not later, but now.

You don’t have to wait until after baby to check in with your body.

If you said yes to any of these, it might be time to start paying attention to what your body is telling you.

If you’re not sure what’s normal vs what needs support, this is exactly what we look at in pelvic PT.

03/30/2026

Most women are told to wait.

Wait until after the baby is born.
Wait until your 6-week check.
Wait and see what doesn’t go back to normal.

But by that point…
your body has already been through so much change.

The pressure, the shifting, the strain on your core and pelvic floor —
it’s all happening during pregnancy.

And when you don’t have the right support,
that’s when things like leaking, pain, and instability start to show up.

You don’t have to just “get through” pregnancy and deal with the aftermath later.

You can actually support your body now.
You can learn how to move, breathe, and manage pressure in a way that helps — not hurts.

💛 And that makes a huge difference in how you feel now… and how you recover after. This is exactly what we work on during pregnancy in pelvic PT — not just after.”

03/27/2026

This is the part no one really talks about.

So many women are quietly dealing with things like leaking, pain, pressure…
and just trying to manage it on their own.

Not because they want to —
but because they’ve been told it’s “normal”…
or they feel too embarrassed to bring it up.

So they stay quiet.
They adjust.
They work around it.

And over time, they start to believe this is just how their body is now.

That’s exactly why I do what I do.

Because these are things that can be treated.
Things that can improve.
Things you don’t have to just accept.

You deserve to move, exercise, laugh, and live your life
without feeling worried, limited, or self-conscious. And you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

“If this is something you’ve been dealing with, this is exactly what I help women with every day.

03/26/2026

You didn’t wake up one day and decide to change how you move.

It just… happened.

You started being a little more careful.
Crossing your legs before you cough.
Skipping certain workouts.
Wearing liners… just in case.
Always making sure you know where the bathroom is.

Not because you wanted to —
but because your body gave you a reason to.

And over time…
it became your normal.

But adapting isn’t the same as healing.

💛 If you’ve been quietly adjusting your life around this,
your body might be asking for support.

03/25/2026

You were told it’s normal.

So you believed it.
And you adjusted.

You stopped jumping.
You modified your workouts.
You started wearing liners… just in case.
You made quiet changes no one else noticed.

And little by little…
it just became part of your life.

But here’s the part no one told you:

Just because it’s common…
doesn’t mean it’s something your body is supposed to keep dealing with.

If you’re still thinking about it, planning around it, or feeling it in your day-to-day…

Your body is asking for support. This is exactly what we work on in pelvic PT — you don’t have to keep managing it on your own.”

💛 And it’s okay to listen.

03/24/2026

you’re about to leave the house…
and you think:

“Let me go real quick… just in case.”

It feels smart.
It feels like you’re staying ahead of the problem.

But over time… it actually creates the problem.

Your bladder is trainable.
And every time you go “just in case,”
you’re teaching it:

👉 “We need to go NOW… even if we’re not full yet”

So instead of holding more…
it starts signaling sooner… and sooner… and sooner.

That constant feeling of needing to go?
That urgency?

This could be part of why. Small habits like this matter more than you think.
And the good news — they can be retrained.

💛 If you feel like you always need to know where the bathroom is… this is a good place to start.

This is something I work on with my patients all the time — you don’t have to figure it out alone.”

03/23/2026

You tell yourself it’s not a big deal.

It’s “just a little leak.”

It only happens when you sneeze… or run… or wait a little too long.

So you adjust.

You cross your legs before you cough.

You skip certain workouts.

You wear liners… just in case.

You plan your day around bathrooms without even realizing it.

And over time, it just becomes your normal.

But deep down…

you know it’s not how your body is supposed to feel.
This isn’t just about “weak muscles.”

It’s about how your body is handling pressure —
and that’s something we can actually retrain.

You don’t have to keep managing it.

You can actually fix what’s causing it.

💛 If this feels like you… it might be time to get support.
