About Venice, Florida:
Named one of Coastal Living’s “Happiest Seaside Towns in America” in 2015, this island town in Sarasota County was once a fishing and farming community and is known for its charming downtown, unspoiled natural green spaces, numerous walking and bike paths, active community theater and beautiful beaches.
The Inspiration:
Tuscan Gardens was created to fill a need. From 2002 to 2014, Tuscan Gardens Founder and CEO, Larry Pino, struggled to find a senior living community worthy of his beloved mother, Maria.
Larry asked himself the fundamental question: “What would it have to look like for me to be willing to put my own mother in it?” That was the seminal moment – in mid-2010 – that ultimately resulted in Tuscan Gardens.
