This is a normal response. Bodies move, twitch, kick, and adjust during treatment.

Part 2:
Content note: PMDD and intrusive thoughts before my cycle.

One of the hardest parts of PMDD for me has been how deep my thoughts can get 7–10 days before my cycle.

I’ve had moments where my brain tells me my kids would be better off without me.

I want to be clear, I recognize these as symptoms, and I do not act on them. But they are real, and they can feel heavy when they show up.

Being diagnosed helped me understand what was happening instead of feeling like something was wrong with me as a person.

I’m sharing this in case someone else experiences this too and doesn’t have language for it yet.

Almost 4 years sober.

And I’m not gonna lie it hasn’t been easy.

There were a lot of moments I wanted to disconnect.

To go back to what was familiar.

But instead, I chose something different.

Therapy.
The gym.
Taking care of my body.
Showing up for my kids.
Building my business.

It’s not perfect.
But I’m still showing up.

But real bodies aren’t that simple.

Some muscles need slow work.
Some need specific pressure.
Some respond better to tools.

My work may not look like spa massage and that’s intentional.

I focus on clinical, goal-oriented bodywork because every body is different.
