Meet Your New Instructor - Jillian✨
Jillian teacher Heated Power Flow Thursdays at 6:30 PM, and starting in March will be teaching Heated Deep Stretch on Sundays at 9:00 AM! 🌸🧘🏼♀️
Get to know Jillian: 👇🏼
1. How did you get started in yoga? ✨
I began practicing yoga consistently during Covid, thinking it would be a nice simple workout for me to do at home. After only a few practices, I realized it was far more than a workout and the effects it had on my mind and body were so intriguing. I began to practice every day, and even after Covid, my practice stayed mostly at home. As a holistic health coach, I felt a pull towards becoming a certified teacher to better my understanding and make it more accessible for those around me. In June 2024, I traveled to a small island off of Bali called Nusa Lembongan to complete my 200hr teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa.
2. What is your favorite yoga pose and why? 🧘🏼♀️
My favorite yoga pose has got to be child’s pose, balasana. It is the one that always brings the most grounding and always feels good for my body. As for other poses, my favorites to practice are always changing in tune with the needs of my body.
3. What’s your go-to playlist for a power flow? 🤩
My go-to playlist for a power flow will almost always feature some Rufus du Sol. A good yoga playlist is one that keeps my body wanting to move into each transition with grace and intention.
4. A fun fact about you? ✨
A fun fact about me is that I am a holistic health coach! My love for mind, body, spirit connection is prominent in all aspects of my life and is what got me into yoga in the first place.
