FAQ: What does the DOT physical check?
A: The physical will check your overall health, including vision, hearing, blood pressure, and a urinalysis. The examiner will also check things like your general appearance, pulse, limbs and extremities.

FAQ: What's the difference between a DOT Dr and a CME?

A: There is no difference, these terms are used interchangeably. The terms Medical Examiner, Certified Medical Examiner, and CME are now being used since the federal regulation came into force on May 21, 2014. Drivers will not be able to go to just any healthcare provider for your DOT physical. You must go to a Certified Medical Examiner on the FMCSA National Registry.
