Why does it take so long for people with pelvic pain to get the right care?

She was in her early 20s. Newly married. A runner.

One fall led to a year of tailbone pain so severe she couldn’t sit or work. Her husband had to help her move.

She did everything she was told. Multiple medical appointments. Generic PT. Kegels. Exercises.

This case is a great example. Foot and toe pain, numbness, and back pain with radiating symptoms can be complex, especially when more than one area is involved. By treating both the foot and the spine, we were able to address the full picture instead of just chasing symptoms.

Could your UPPER traps be causing you headaches, neck pain, or shoulder pain?

What if I told you it was overuse of the upper traps and underuse of the rest of the trapezius muscle?

What many don’t know is that the trapezius muscle is comprised of 3 parts: upper, middle, and lower.

Meaning there are three different directions that the muscle fibers are going. Meaning targeting the whole muscle isn’t that simple.

Simple shrugs ain’t gonna cut it.

The middle and lower traps play a big role in optimal function of the neck and shoulders.

Our Healing Process

1. Relief from pain (visits 1-4) ➡️the goal is to decrease pain, get the body to calm down, and lengthen the muscles through body work, posture corrections, and education.

2. Restore strength (visits 5-8) ➡️the goal is to strengthen muscles and coordination training through strength training, gradual exposure, and education.

3. Return to normal life (visits 9-12) ➡️the goal is to train to return to normal activity, and sport specific training through custom programs specific to goals, functional training, and education.

Tailbone pain often gets brushed off, especially when you’ve had it for years and start thinking, “I guess this is just normal.”

But pain with sitting, long car rides, flights, or workouts doesn’t have to be something you live with. Tailbone pain can come from stiffness, too much movement, or even irritation from the low back or SI joint.

The key is finding the true source of the pain. With the right PT approach and for some people, SoftWave therapy we can calm things down and help you get back to moving, sitting, and living more comfortably again!

One of our favorite things to treat. And guess what all the pelvic floor muscles directly or indirectly attach to this little bone at the bottom of your spine so a good pelvic floor PT is usually your best bet to overcome!

Team training session! Improving our skills for constipation, bowel urgency/frequency/leakage to work on pressure in re**um! Always looking to improve our skills and offerings to offer the best possible treatments for our clients.

Softwave therapy has been a game changer for our clients struggling with pain conditions in area, including fissures, spasms, tightness, tailbone pain! Re**al balloon training is a tool to help with lack of sensation during bowel movement from chronic constipation or other bowel issues. Always fun to put all our brains together to problem solve cases and learn.

Knee pain can be just that: a PAIN!

There are many reasons why you may be experiencing it. Poor training form being ONE of them.

By allowing your knees to cave in it results in too much stress on the knee joint and the structures around it instead of activating the right muscles to do the work.

By actively keeping the knees out while maintaining good foot and big toe contact, you allow the glute to be utilized properly, thus improving your gainzzzz 😎
