You can’t have informed consent if you aren’t aware of your preconceived notions.

We all carry with us a rich array of experience and knowledge that informs our decision making. Sometimes the stories that drive us can bias us in ways that are not helpful in a given situation.

In our birth preparation class, we explore what we all believe about birth and how that might affect our decision making. I very much enjoy hearing the stories that our families carry with them and how they shape us all today.

- learning the basics of how pregnancy, birth, and infant feeding work⁠
- spending time exploring your own thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about this journey ⁠
