The Health Care Agency is a comprehensive, high-quality, integrated, and most importantly inclusive system with some of the best medical professionals in the nation. HCA is comprised of five departments, two Acute Care Hospitals, Ambulatory Care Clinic System, Behavioral Health Department, Public Health Department, and the Ventura County Health Care Plan. The Ventura County Medical System is an in

tegrated health care network comprised of two hospitals: Ventura County Medical Center (180 beds) and a rural hospital, 49-bed Santa Paula Hospital. Our clinic system includes 35 clinics, 20 primary care clinics (18 Nationally Recognized Federally Qualified Health Care Centers), 6 specialty care clinics, and 7 urgent care centers. VCMC boasts the #1 Family Medicine Program in the country, is the only Level II Trauma Center in the county, and operates the only PICU in the county. If you or a loved one are expecting, Santa Paula hospital is home to an exceptional Midwife program, and offers scenic mountain views from the windows of its delivery rooms. IBS affects millions of people and can disrupt daily life, even when symptoms are not visible.

Knowing the signs, seeking medical care, and talking openly with your health care provider are important steps to manage IBS.

Your health matters to our community. If you have ongoing digestive discomfort, don’t ignore it. Help is available.

Scheduling routine eye exams is essential, not only can they reveal early changes to your vision, but they also help identify conditions like diabetes before complications arise.

Exciting news is on the horizon: thanks to a recent grant, we will soon introduce expanded optometry services to Las Islas.
