Found this Praying Mantis hanging out in the shade behind our Psychic Reader sign! Mantises are a symbol of good luck and patience. While we loved seeing this big guy, we did relocate him to a nice garden where it can find plenty of food to catch and plants to climb on. The pale color suggests that it just recently molted, and we wanted it to be in a safe place while the exoskeleton hardens and it should turn a lovely green color. These are rare to see in this area, largely because they camouflage so well! So it is a lucky sighting indeed!

🦝 Raccoons are animal totems of curiosity, disguise and secrecy. It teaches us how to wear “masks” for different purposes, from altered states to making impressions. Whether it’s allowing your secret self to go on an adventure, or dressing the part for an interview or event, raccoons help you find opportunities to explore new things about yourself and the world around you.

Most spiritual stores have the usual majestic animals like wolves, ravens, dolphins and eagles. While we do have those, we also like to showcase some of the smaller, often overlooked critters like raccoons, opossums, octopuses, sharks, or even dinosaurs and criptids! Let us know in the comments if there is an animal you’d like to see more of in our shop!
