The ICU 🫁
1️⃣ Multi disciplinary rounding (RNs, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT/SLP, pharmacy, case management, social work, Palliative Care, docs)
2️⃣ Lots of teaching & learning from our wonderful attendings (mix of FM and IM critical care trained)
3️⃣ Support from the Palliative Care team (hello to our co resident rounding on that service!)
4️⃣ Vital (critical?) team coffee rounds
5️⃣ Tons of procedures: arterial lines, CVCs, thoracentesis, paracentesis, HD lines, etc
6️⃣ Responding to rapid responses and stabilizing patients
7️⃣ Learning ventilator mechanics and management
8️⃣ Lots of hard work learning critical care and taking care of super sick patients. We have a closed medical/surgical ICU.
