Ever heard of “Baby Botox”?
“Baby Botox” refers to a light dose of tox, or anything that falls below the normal recommended dosage range. It’s an arbitrary marketing term that basically means nothing in practice, but the principle can actually be used in some cases to customize the perfect tox treatment for your anatomy.
A lighter dose of tox will give softer results, allowing for some muscle movement and a more natural appearance. But a lighter dose also won’t last you very long, especially if your wrinkles are deep and your muscles are strong. We like to say “dosage = duration”! A higher dose with a more “frozen” effect will take longer to wear off than a “Baby Botox” dose that doesn’t contain enough tox to capture all of your muscle movement.
Often, younger patients in their 20s like this beauty can get away with lighter “Baby Botox” dosing because they are in the preventive stage of wrinkle formation. This patient doesn’t have many wrinkles yet, but starting with lower doses in her 20s will prevent deep wrinkles from setting in.
Once your wrinkles are etched-in and stay there even when you’re not making a facial expression, I hate to break it to you, but you’re past the point of Baby Botox. True wrinkles need traditional dosing to make a noticeable impact.
We will always recommend the most honest and realistic tox dose to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. No upsells or unnecessary treatments, just enough to get you the results you want. But just so you’re prepared, if you’re in your 30s or above- it probably won’t be Baby Botox 😂🫶🏼
