Have you ever practiced Taoist Yoga???

Who’s Shanti?
🌟Shanti is the student and protege of world-renowned Grand Master Paulie Zink.

⭐️Professionally trained as a contortionist and dancer, Shanti accepted Taoist Yoga as a holistic path to retain superior flexibility, strength and vitality.

What is Taoist Yoga?
⭐️Having studied exclusively with Master Paulie Zink, Shanti teaches the pure art of Taoist yoga. This unadulterated style is the “flow” yoga that was originally developed by Taoist priests in northern China and directly passed onto Master Paulie Zink.

Swipe for the steps to practicing Bakasana (Crane)!

Fun fact! This pose is usually reffered to as Crow, but the sanskrit translation is Crane.

Step 1
Crouch with the feet on a block and spread the fingers wide on the mat with grounded knuckles. Use activated arms to push the floor away from you. Suck the belly in and keep a tight, engaged core. Now lift one foot off the block at a time to practice your balance.

TIP! Practice with a bolster in front of the face in case you lose your balance and come forward a bit. Its okay! You can always get back up and try again :)

Step 2
After you’ve practiced step 1 enough, you can begin to practice without a block. Step 2 is short holds, lifting both feet and letting them drop back to the floor as needed.

Step 3
You’ve done it! Those short holds overtime will turn into longer ones. Now you can hold Crane pose and begin to explore, maybe the legs shoot back for Chaturanga? Maybe you hold until you cant hold anymore?
