As the next year looms large on the horizon, how are you feeling about it? By all counts, anxious and stress are common answers this year, but also other years because the unknown is, well, unknown. I suggest this, acknowledge your feeling(s), emotions, and thoughts about it. Writing them down is even better. Then take some silent moments or minutes focusing on your breathing. Afterward, check to see if there was any shift in your answer in this new moment. if so, write that down too, or anything else important to you. Finally, date your writing.

The total solar eclipse in April is a great example of the power of connecting with others in a positive way. People socialized with strangers, some were crying, in silence together at times, smiling so hard it hurt, in an awesome experience together in a vulnerable way and they loved it!
Being around other people isn't enough to make this change effective in healing, you have to feel safe and positive enough to connect for awhile with a person or people. They don't have to be strangers only, you can meet with them regularly or here and there.
Loneliness is a national epidemic. Lonely people don't live as long as connected people do.
Safe, positive, supportive, even uplifting at times, is essential to the beneficial effect of this lifestyle choice. So what are your thoughts?

These days it seems most adults are stressed out more than usual. I won't go into all the reasons for it because they vary for each person. What I will say is that it's the number of significant stressors on a person at the same time that causes the problems! Our mind-bodies are designed to handle stress but when there are too many that last for too long, the mind-body can't handle it all well. That's when symptoms begin to show up, but damage may have begun within long before they show-up. Lifestyle factors are the first place I look for the quickest remedies to help an individual overcome! Stay tuned, follow me, and I'll give you some suggestions in the next few posts. Feel free to leave questions or topic suggestions in the comments and I will answer it!

Symptoms that look like anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, headaches and others can arise when our gut microbiome is out of balance and lacking nutrition. I discuss this in detail with my clients right from the start. I want to understand the cause of symptoms and not assume they are psychological when they may be physical or environmental toxins. First new clients are asked food questions on the intake forms. Then we'll discuss if needed. Each situation is custom and the client is at choice as to taking suggested steps that could eliminate all together or reduce certain symptoms. I see it all the time and have for years. If you'd like to talk about it more, check out my website and call for a free phone intro. KimberlyWulfert.com

In 2021 researchers estimated that "symptomatic adult ADHD, regardless of age of diagnosis, is estimated to be 6.76% or 366.33 million individuals worldwide." It's fairly common in my practice to meet adults in their 30s and 40s who have ADHD and never knew it. SOme did in childhood but stopped the medication long ago. They come in for depression, anxiety, stress related physical problems and relationship problems. They are intelligent creative people who in some cases are under achieving and this leads to lowered self-esteem, depression and anxiety. Once they get on medication and change some of their routines and behaviors they do very well and feel great about it as a result. You can reach me on my website, KimberlyWulfert . com

ADHD affects millions of people worldwide annually. If you have ADHD, you aren’t alone. Many people are living with ADHD and can receive treatment.

It's the time of year for eating, drinking and spending extra time with family, friends and co-workers. This translates to mood swings and over-indulgence for many. A little boost of feeling good by raising your serotonin through everyday food choices might be just what you need now. There's nothing unusual on this list or expensive, but sugar isn't one of them!

From eggs and dairy to fermented foods and nuts and seeds, foods rich in tryptophan may help increase your serotonin levels to give your mood a boost.
