We are so happy to welcome guest teacher Coach Jess Martin for B***y Pump, a glute-focused, heated workshop designed to sculpt and strengthen your hamstrings, quads, and (yes!) those buns 🍑

Using bands, light-to-medium weights, and plenty of energy, you’ll leave sweaty, strong, and smiling.

All levels are welcome, modifications will be offered
and bands can be provided if you don’t have your own. Come ready to sweat, have fun, and try something new!

Yeah, we know. It’s intentional, and not just because it’s green like our logo ☺️

The color green is associated with the Anahata Chakra, or Heart Chakra, and as yoga is the union of mind, body, and spirit, the heart is at the center of it all. Through that union we move closer to recognizing our interconnectedness with ourselves, our relationships, and our spiritual journey.

We invite you to join sound healer Kelly Jean Anderson and yogini Lee Ann McGuire for a special spiritual practice focused on Anahata, the 4th chakra.

This heartfelt workshop is an invitation to enhance our well-being and create a sacred space to access and embrace our inner wisdom and happiness. 💚

Grassroots Membership means more than just “yoga” because WE are more than just “yoga”

We are “catching up after class even though we’re sweaty” 💚

We are “I brought you ladies a BOX of peaches from my tree, please share with everyone!” 💚

We are “My neighbor got laid off from her job and is having trouble making car payments, can you spread the word so we can help her out until she’s back on her feet?” 💚

We are “I just realized I forgot your dad’s actual name because I’ve just called him Daddio for the past five years” 💚

And this past Sunday we were “Let’s throw a hoedown for this year’s members barbecue!” 💚

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this phenomenal community with us and practice a little line dancing 🤠 We appreciate you all more than you know!

Do you ever find yourself staring at the mural in our studio thinking “I wish I could take that entire wall home with me so I can look at it all the time”??

Us too.

And now our wish has come true! For the first time EVER, our mural is available in T-shirt and water bottle form!

The Boutique at Grassroots is the only place you can find this defining piece of artwork in a mobile, beach-ready format. We honestly cannot think of a better way to stay hydrated - or to camouflage yourself in our lobby!

First time in a heated yoga class? Here’s something you might not realize:

You. Will. SWEAT. 🥵

And that’s a good thing! 😁 Sweating from the deep heat of our infrared rooms rids the body of toxins and metabolic wastes, not to mention all the other health benefits triggered by a good, sweaty workout.

But SWEAT + YOGA MAT = 🤕 when you’re not careful.

To stay safe and get the most out of your practice, it’s important to come prepared:

Bring a small towel to wipe away sweat during heated classes and use a larger towel designed to go over your mat to prevent slipping (we carry these in the boutique!)

Also keep in mind that some yoga mats get EXTRA slippery when wet and aren’t ideal for any classes where you might get extra sweaty (looking at you, Sculpt 👀)

Not sure which gear is right for you? Stop by the front desk, we’re always happy to help you choose a mat or towel that’s best for your practice!

And if you forget anything, don’t stress! Mats, hand towels, mat towels, and shower towels are all available to rent on-site.

👋 Say hello to Corinn McKnett! This Ventura native is one of the newest teachers at Grassroots and we are so excited to have her on board! 🌿

Corinn’s yoga journey is special to us because it’s tied to our own. She started taking classes at Grassroots all the way back in 2015 when we were just a community of yogis in the park. She became a member when we opened our studio in 2018 and has spent the last 7 years with us, building her practice and taking classes almost daily! 💚

Now that she’s leading her own classes, you can expect to find balance, strength, and flexibility on the mat, focusing on the heart space and grounding while sneaking in a little fire!

🧘🏻‍♀️Check out Corinn’s FREE Unheated Deep Flow class on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 pm! This donation-based class is designed to support new teachers in the community, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the teacher.
