WE ARE SO GRATEFUL - From Nancy Porcella, Owner of Brain Injury Specialists

This Holiday Season, as I reflected on the things I am grateful for, working closely with our community over the 18 years of our existence as a company came to mind. Your support and believing in our work over the years have allowed our team of therapists to do so much good in the world and to change the lives of so many people in the process. Alas, it is time for us to close our practice due to a variety of factors. We do have mixed feelings about this transition, but know that it is the right time for us to close. We are winding down and we will be officially closed by 1/31/23. We will miss all of you as we close this chapter but wanted you all to know how much we appreciate each of you.

I feel great pride that Brain Injury Specialists developed a team of the best and brightest therapists and built a practice that helped so many people recover from catastrophic injury. Each of our therapists possesses unique talents and skills and are experts in their fields of practice. Many of us will go on working as therapists and will continue to bring their experience, wisdom and expertise to the world going forward.

Again, we want to thank you all for your support, referrals and comradery over the years. Wishing you a lovely holiday season and a blessed New Year.

The man doesn’t know that there is a snake underneath. The woman doesn’t know that there is a stone crushing the man. The woman thinks: “I am going to fall! And I can’t climb because the snake is going to bite me! Why can’t the man use a little more strength and pull me up!” The man thinks: “I am in so much pain! Yet I’m still pulling you as much as I can! Why don’t you try and climb a little harder!?”

The moral is— you can’t see the pressure the other person is under, and the other person can’t see the pain you’re in. This is life, whether it’s with work, family, feelings or friends, we should try to understand each other. Learn to think differently, perhaps more clearly and communicate better. A little thought and patience goes a long way. ❤️
