RICE is out. PEACE & LOVE is in.

If you’ve ever been told to “just rest and ice it”… you’re not alone. We grew up thinking R.I.C.E. was the gold standard for injuries — but the latest research tells a different story.

Enter: PEACE ☮️ & LOVE 💜

PEACE (Immediate Care):
Protect: Limit activity to prevent further damage.
Elevate: Raise the injured limb higher than the heart to help reduce swelling.
Avoid anti-inflammatories: Inflammation is a crucial part of the healing process, and anti-inflammatory medications can hinder it.
Compress: Use compression to minimize swelling and provide support.
Educate: Seek professional guidance to understand the injury and appropriate management strategies.

LOVE (Ongoing Management):
Load: Gradually introduce movement and exercise to promote tissue healing and strength.
Optimism: Maintain a positive mindset and believe in your body’s ability to heal.
Vascularization: Engage in activities that promote blood flow to the injured area, such as light cardio.
Exercise: Continue with specific exercises to restore mobility, strength, and proprioception.

Whether you’re dealing with a new sprain or old nagging pain, your body deserves more than passive rest. It needs smart movement, progressive loading, and a plan that works.

NextGen PT is excited and proud to bring a Sports Enhancement Program to Bloomfield for students entering 7th–12th grade! Whether you’re prepping for your next season or want to build a strong foundation — this 6-week program is built for YOU!

What to expect:
✅ Plyometric Training – Boost explosive power & vertical
✅ Agility Drills – Improve speed, quickness & coordination
✅ Jumping & Landing Mechanics – Sharpen movement control & reduce injury risk
