Yesterday, April 3rd, the FDA again recalled generic lubricant eye drops sold at CVS and Walgreens. There is an extensive list, so I am sure generics sold elsewhere are involved too. The problem is the question of sterility (again, like in 2022). To ALL of my patients, who suffer from dry eye, and even those who don’t, use Optase. They are available at my office, and unlike Systane (which certain drops have been recalled before) and Refresh: they have never been part of a recall bc they are manufactured in Europe instead of China and India.

Our office is open today despite the Level 2 or 3 snow emergency in place. It may change throughout today or tomorrow, but we are open as usual.

Although Dr. Fisher is not happy about the snow, she will be at the office later on today for our patients, as planned.
