Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation is proud to celebrate Dean Fleck and his participation in the Moving Forward Therapy Program. We designed custom therapy sessions for Dean after an exacerbation in his medical condition resulted in losing part of his leg. His personalized therapy programs included Occupational and Physical Therapy, as well as additional Wellness Programming!

Dean worked hard to perform activities of daily living and community-focused ambulation in order to return to his own home independently. Additionally, the nursing staff worked diligently to address medical conditions for a successful discharge home. Dean shared his experience with the staff at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation: "I still can’t believe how well I’m doing this soon!”

Last Friday, Mount Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation participated in the annual Mount Vernon Christmas Parade. Our dedicated staff decorated the bus with seasonal décor, affording residents a splendid vantage point from the climate-controlled comfort of the bus. MVNR, having earned its place on the "nice" list, celebrated a deficiency-free annual survey! It was, without a doubt, an ideal commencement to the holiday festivities!
