I want the fist post to be an opportunity to display my gratitude to those that have been by my side along this journey and to explain the heartbeat of Ease Your Mind Counseling, PLLC.
God be praised and shout out to my immediate family, my wife, and in-laws. They have been patient, loving, and tough when needed. I would have not been able to make it without them. Grateful, grateful, grateful!
To my friends, colleagues, professors, and the amazing supervisor who guided me along the process of obtaining my license; I send you all a HUGE thank you! I would have been lost without your support.
Why does this page begin with a shout out?
Growing up in a small farming community I learned a few life lessons. Lesson one, don't be taken advantage of. Lesson 2, you are not alone. Lesson 3, don't quit.
These core beliefs have paved the way for emotional rest and mental stability at times of uncertainty & doubt. These beliefs are also what guide our mission and vision statement.
It is our aim to provide ethical and evidenced-based professional services, reinforce the idea that you can be empowered, you are not alone, and you can work through your stressors with support.
Mission Statement: Ease Your Mind Counseling exists to ease the minds of individuals by providing a safe place so that they can find emotional rest through professional care.
Vision Statement: The vision of our practice is to support the communities we serve by bringing hope and healing one person at a time. Through care, compassion, and acceptance our goal is to empower and provide an environment that delivers the following message: “Come as you are and leave what keeps you from bettering your future.”
I remember a statement made by a former client, he stated that there was no solace when alone. It was not until he decided to reach out that he was able to experience comfort, hope, and faith.
