Yesterday our Friendship Circle Cooking & Recipes Club turned afternoon tea into a full-on friendship feast ☕🍰. The bites were delicious, the laughs were nonstop, and even our newest residents, Joanne and Miss Twee, jumped right in asking, “Is this every afternoon? Because I’ll be here!” 😄
Miss Anna couldn’t resist chiming in with a laugh: “Just wait till we add wine and Scott tomorrow—it’s Boogie Wednesday!” 💃🍷
From tasty treats to new BFFs, it was proof that food + friends = the best recipe of all. ❤️

🍕🍻 Vincent’s Pizza & Brew Adventure! 🍻🍕
When residents say “let’s grab a bite,” they really mean, “let’s eat like royalty!” 👑
👉 Miss Jackie ordered a calzone that was so huge it deserved its own seat at the table. 😂 She didn’t just say it was good—she said it was good, good!
👉 Miss Jane may be English, but on this trip she traded her tea and crumpets for pizza and pasta. 🇬🇧➡️🇮🇹 She enjoyed every bite so much she needed a to-go box to finish her Italian feast at home.
🍝 Between pizza slices, real-deal Italian dishes, and lots of laughter, the outing was a total hit. And let’s be honest—at Vincent’s, nobody leaves hungry! ❤️

🌀 Hurricane Preparedness Meeting 🌀
Today, Michael, our Maintenance Director, and Janibell, our Executive Director, led an important meeting to review our community’s emergency preparedness plan. Residents had their questions answered, learned evacuation procedures, and left feeling reassured and ready for the season ahead.
And yes — pets are part of the plan! Miss Pam, Miss Mary, Joe, and Millie will be right there with us, tails wagging and all. 🐾

🍫 We Said “Rummage Sale”... The Brownies Said “Follow Me!” 🛍️
Today, our amazing Community Ambassadors turned the bistro into Treasure Island—minus the pirates (unless you count Ms Rose guarding her pile of finds). We collected goodies from residents, family, and friends, and WOW did we have a haul!
Special thanks to all who donated—and to Miss Carole, Pam, and Barbara, who were beaming like they just hit the lottery. Staff even walked away with a few “can’t-live-without” treasures (translation: things they didn’t know they needed until today).
But the real magic? Brownies. 🍫 The warm, chocolatey aroma floated right through the halls and guided shoppers into the bistro like a sweet-smelling GPS. Some folks came for “just a peek” and somehow left with both a lamp and two Tupperware containers—plus a brownie (or three). 😆
Bargains + baked goods = total success! ❤️

⚓✨ Coastal Pop-Up Shop Fun! ✨⚓
This afternoon, our community turned into a seaside boutique as residents enjoyed Carmen’s beautiful handmade nautical jewelry and coastal treasures. 🐚💍 Ms. Carlene and Beverly couldn’t resist and added some stunning new pieces to their collections.

Even a few staff members popped in to “just look” (we all know how that goes 😏). Some residents joked, “It’s mid-month, we have no money—come back next month!” while Angie whispered to Carmen, “Would you save this for me?” 😂

Between the sparkle, the laughter, and the window shopping, it was the perfect mix of fun and friendship—without ever leaving home! 💙

🥳 July Walking Challenge Winner! 🥳
Put your hands (and feet) together for Mr. Jeff K — our undisputed king of July’s walking challenge! 👑🚶‍♂️

Jeff clocked in a mighty 2.27 miles a day (that’s 4,540 steps for you step-counters), which added up to a jaw-dropping 140,740 steps in just 31 days — a whopping 62.55 miles total! 💪

His reward? A snazzy new pair of Nike shoes to keep him strutting into August… and because July’s heat was trying to roast us all, he stayed hydrated like a champ 💦, earning himself a fancy water bottle too.

He immediately slipped into his brand-new Nikes, flashed his winner’s certificate to everyone, and encouraged them to “take a walk — you might win a free pair too!” Then, proudly holding up his “thing that records your steps” (a.k.a. his odometer), he proved every single one of those miles.

🌞 Summer Camp Wrap-Up! 🌞
Last Friday, we said our bittersweet goodbyes to the kiddos from our Frontline Staff Children’s Summer Camp. Not easy… but just like summer, it had to end (cue the tiny violins 🎻).

We’re sending them off with wishes for a happy and safe school year ahead! 🍎✏️

Our residents had the joy of teaching them some valuable (and occasionally hilarious) life skills:
🌱 Pam – Gardening like a pro (and yes, pulling weeds, not flowers)
🧶 Barbara – Knitting without tying yourself in knots
🎣 Chef Sterling & Jeff – Fishing… and proving patience really is a virtue (we can’t forget Mr. Chuck’s fishing trip, where the only “fish” we caught was… Mr. Chuck himself 😂)
🍪 Anna, Beverly & Pam – Cooking and baking… and “taste-testing” like true professionals
📚 Stella – Reading & storytelling that could rival Netflix
🚶 Teressa – Walking adventures (aka “where are we going again?”)

We wrapped things up with our “Moving Up” award ceremony, because these campers deserved it:
🏆 Zeze – Great leader & lightning-fast learner
🏆 Diamond – Our little bundle of endless energy
🏆 Sterling – Known for always saying, “You know where I from? 😁”
🏆 Maya – Our proud indoor enthusiast
🏆 Louny – The talented artist whose creativity amazed us all

It was a summer of laughs, learning, and a few mosquito bites—but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. ❤️
