Spreading love across generations 💜

Our Hummingbird team had the sweetest time bringing Valentine’s Day crafts to Wabasso School, where students created beautiful handmade cards and hearts for local seniors. We were honored to deliver those heartfelt creations to the wonderful residents at St. Francis Manor of Vero Beach — and the smiles said it all.
A special thank you to Dr. Angela Shoe, Principal of Wabasso School, for welcoming us and helping make this meaningful connection possible. We are so grateful for your leadership and heart for the community. 💜

It is my honor to present the Paul Harris Fellow recognition to Janean Barrows, a leader who truly embodies Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”

Janean consistently gives her time, energy, and heart to strengthening our community, often working quietly behind the scenes to ensure others have the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Her dedication is not driven by recognition, but by a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Through her leadership, compassion, and unwavering service, she has uplifted individuals, inspired collaboration, and helped create lasting impact.

Janean’s example reminds us what it means to serve with integrity and purpose, and it is for these reasons that she so richly deserves this Paul Harris Fellow honor.

Community Update from Hummingbird Care Services

This morning, our on-call staff at Hummingbird Care Services has received several calls from seniors in our community who have lost power and are currently without heat.

In response, our Hummingbird Mobile Units — “Hummer 1” & “Hummer 2”— are out checking in on individuals, providing support, and helping move people to safe, warm locations as needed.

If you or someone you know may need assistance today, please reach out. We are happy to assist.

We also encourage everyone to use the comments on this post to share any local resources, warming centers, or support options that may help others during this time.
