Are you curious about what your toddler and preschooler should be doing in regards to fine motor skills? This graphic from Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services does a beautiful job of breaking down the developmental expectations of 2-5 year olds. Please keep in mind that all kids develop at their own pace so it might take them a little longer to master some of these skills. If you are worried your child is struggling more than they need to, you might want to seek out an occupational therapy evaluation. The earlier you begin intervening, the faster the kids progress.
