Clarks Cove Farm Welcomes Misspent Youth Back to our SummerThing Concert Series
This 5-piece southern Maine band, specializing in 60's and 70's rock 'n roll blew the house away last month. The lead guitarist, Howland Bickerstaff, has opened up for Sly & the Family Stone, Little Feat and Leon Russell. The 2 sets include tunes from the Beatles, Steppenwolf, Neil Young, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Beach Boys, The Doors, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Buddy Guy, Creedence Clearwater, Aretha Franklin, Georgia Satellites, Crazy Elephant, Spirit et al.

These are free events however donations are greatly appreciated to support local charities with missions that support Homelessness, Domestic Violence, Child Welfare and Harm Reduction and Recovery Community initiatives for persons suffering from substance use disorders. 100% of donation proceeds are donated to local charities. Local charities are encouraged to contact Tim Cheney for further information.

SummerThing Rocks on at Clarks Cove Farm with an unexpected concert this Sunday September 8 from 4PM-6PM. We are thrilled to host Tuba Skinny at the Farm. As they are extremely popular in our community, we anticipate a large turnout and have prepared a second parking area. If the weather cooperates, we will have them set up on the deck and seating will be on the lawn and in the barn. otherwise seating/standing room will be in the barn and deck. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair if you wish to sit on the lawn.

Incredible rendition of this classic. Our concert on August 4 was dedicated to Substance use prevention/intervention/treatment and we presented a check to Representative Holly Stover, Director of Operations for Addiction Outreach for The Boothbay Community Resource Council,
who has worked tirelessly for years in Augusta and in Lincoln county to save the lives of those suffering with Substance Use Disorders. Thank you Holly Stover.

Scanners that spot smuggled fentanyl at the border sit unused because Congress hasn't provided the cash to install them. The money to install the screeners was in the supplemental funding request Republicans blocked.
