Thank you to everyone who attended our ribbon cutting and open house for TCCH’s new West Health Center - we had over 100 individuals in attendance!

We couldn’t have done it without so many amazing members of our community including Dr. Walter and Lalita Janke (our lead donors), Florida Community Loan Fund, the Indian River County Hospital District, and more.

Meet Our Presenter: Dr. Sarwat Gad, MD

Dr. Gad is the Behavioral Health Medical Director for Treasure Coast Community Health, Inc. (TCCH) , bringing more than 35 years of experience in psychiatry and addictive medicine.

After graduating from the Alexandria School of Medicine in Egypt, Dr. Gad came to the U.S. to pursue his medical career. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center and went on to lead a successful psychiatric private practice in Louisiana. His extensive expertise includes child psychiatry, behavioral health, and community-based mental health care.

TCCH had the honor of hosting State Representative Dana Trabulsy at our Oslo Health Center. This is also the site of our new Pediatric Center, currently under construction.

TCCH leadership and Rep. Trabulsy discussed legislation impacting community health centers and how early childhood healthcare leads to greater academic achievement, cognitive development, and social-emotional development.

Our West location is NOW OPEN and ACCEPTING PATIENTS! 🎉

This new center brings much-needed healthcare to a portion of the county considered to be a "healthcare desert".

Call 772-257-8224 to make your dental, pediatric, primary care, and behavioral/mental health appointments. We even have a new and improved call center to shorten wait times and upgrade the appointment-making experience.

TCCH had the pleasure of welcoming Tyler Wadsworth, Legislative Aide to Senator Erin Grall for Florida (Senate District 29), on August 5 at our Oslo location, also the future home of our Oslo Pediatric Center.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to share the vital role TCCH plays in our community, especially in providing healthcare to more than 9,000 children. Community Health Centers like TCCH are pillars of strength, compassion, and service. In times of hardship, we offer support and healing; in times of progress, we foster hope and a vision for a healthier future.

This year’s National Health Center Week, August 3 – 9, celebrates the power of connection between communities, health centers, and elected officials at every level.
