Samantha Lynch is a registered dietitian who caters to everyone from athletes and celebrities to students and stay-at-home moms. She holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. After graduating in 2009, she started her own nutrition counseling practice to fulfill her dream of helping people live longer, happier and more energetic lives! Samantha is known for her extensive counseling experience focused on developing a healthy balance between an active work, social, and family lifestyle. She encourages with her hands on approach during both in person office and virtual appointments. She gives menu recommendations, regularly checks in with clients, monitors food logs, helps with healthfully restocking residential and commercial kitchens, and arranges supermarket trips with clients to educate them on what to look for and give them fresh ideas. Today, Samantha is regularly called upon for her expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy within the medical community and is a frequent referral source for medical professionals, as well as other health professionals. In addition, she is frequently called upon as a nutrition expert on TV and online media outlets, and she has been cast in a national TV commercial for Nestle Health Science. Prior to founding Vero Beach Nutrition (formerly Samantha Lynch Nutrition) in 2009, Samantha received her Registered Dietitian licensure and Masters in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, and completed her Dietetic Residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutrition Entrepreneurs, Dietitians in Integrative & Functional Medicine and the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Groups. Samantha started her career as the Co-Director of Nutrition at what is now Equinox Sports Club/NY. Samantha relocated to Vero Beach, FL with her husband and two daughters in January 2015, and still maintains a presence in NYC and other states with her virtual practice.

Nutrition: Previously enjoyed ice cream and other high-fat foods

Incorporated:
✔ Exercise: Daily walks and weight training with 5-10 pounds
Food:
✔ Replaced ice cream with fresh fruit like apples and bananas with natural peanut butter (no additives)
✔ Enjoyed Nut & Fruit Clusters (nuts, seeds & dried fruit)
✔ Popcorn with nutritional yeast, an excellent source of B vitamins typically found in animal proteins
✔ Removed meat and dairy, including cheese and butter, replacing them with beans, nuts, and seeds
✔ Baked sweet potatoes with orange juice and cinnamon (no butter)
✔ Ate rice and quinoa

Results (12/23/24 - 2/06/24):
🔻 Total Body Weight: -1.6 pounds
🔻 Body Fat Mass: -3.2 pounds
🔺 Skeletal Muscle Mass (SMM): +0.7 pounds
🔻 Percentage Body Fat: -1.8%
Visceral Fat Level: Level 8 (no change)

01/30/25:
Total Chol 186; LDL 101; HDL 69; Triglycerides 71; Apolipoprotein B 78

12/30/24:
Total Chol 196; LDL 113; HDL 65; Triglycerides 85; Apolipoprotein B 83

Key message: Not only did body composition and lipids improve, but digestion also noticeably improved. The reduction in sugar cravings and loss of love handles around the lower abdomen were also significant, all while still feeling satisfied after meals and never experiencing the bloating caused by dairy.

Incorporated:
✔️ Started Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) 4/24/2023
Exercise:
✔️ Weight Training: 3-5x/wk
✔️ Rowing, Biking, Water Aerobic or Swimming: 30min every other day
✔️ 1.5 hours cardio tennis: 1x/wk
Nutrition: Protein, healthy fats, and fiber at each of her 3 meals (no snacks)

Key message: Because appetite has been greatly reduced, patient ensures she eats a variety of foods to maximize her nutrition. This includes ensuring she eats 3 meals per day and aims for 30g+ protein per meal. Weight training has greatly helped to maintain Skeletal Muscle Mass (SMM).

Results (11/10/21 - 2/10/25):

🔻 Body Fat Mass: -28.6 pounds
🔻 Lean Body Mass: -1.1 pounds*

*Studies suggest that people using tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) for weight loss may experience a 10.9% loss of lean body mass.

This transformation emphasizes that sustainable weight loss is a process involving not just medication but also consistency in exercise and nutrition. By focusing on weight training, lean protein, and balanced meals, she has successfully maintained muscle while losing fat.

Client Success Story: 78-Year-Old Male (No Weight Loss Drugs)

Goal: See abs by his 79th birthday in July.

Before: Worked long hours seated at a computer without many breaks. Lunch consisted of cashews and beef jerky, thinking it was a healthy, low-carb choice. He struggled with low energy, excess body fat (especially around the middle), and had not worked out since COVID in 2020.

Incorporated:
• Exercise: Weight lifting and burpees 3x per week; when traveling, continues with weight lifting and rowing machine
• Creatine Monohydrate
• Testosterone Cream

Key message: Consistency is the most important element. He still works long hours but now logs his food, takes breaks to exercise, eats 2000-2200 calories per day, and despite not being a vegetable lover, consumes 30-38g of fiber daily. He stays consistent with his workouts no matter where he is, proving that results come from daily habits, not quick fixes.

Results (7/7/23 - 2/4/25):
• Total Body Weight: -15.2 pounds
• Body Fat Mass: -22.7 pounds
• Skeletal Muscle Mass: +4.2 pounds
