Dean’s birth 🤍
Absolutely euphoric, leaving a birth high that lingered for days.
I had some mild cramping earlier in the week - enough to get me excited, but then realizing and accepting that it was just practice; I was mentally prepared to be pregnant for a couple more weeks. Friday morning felt the same, some mild cramping but not enough for me to change plans for date night later that evening. Then pop! My waters broke, and I was thrown right into active labor, the intensity taking me to my knees. We made all of the calls to our birth team with the same message - hurry up! An hour and 45 minutes later, my beautiful son was born, the vernix on his back thick like butter and a head full of dark hair. The room was filled with women I trust and love, my husband and firstborn son by my side. It was an experience I will be reliving everyday for the foreseeable future 🤍
