Thanks to incredible community support, we’re bringing proton therapy—the most advanced form of radiation treatment for certain cancers—to our region. This technology delivers highly precise treatment with less damage to healthy tissue, making a huge difference for patients, especially children and those with tumors near vital organs.

"[Proton therapy] allows us to be able to treat very delicate areas of the brain and lesions that are there without damaging all the structures," said Dr. Brendan Klein, Carilion Clinic pediatric neurosurgeon.

Yesterday, our hospice team proudly honored veterans across Southwest Virginia through heartfelt pinning ceremonies as part of our partnership with We Honor Veterans.

At Runk & Pratt Senior Living Communities, we shared music, gratitude, and healing with patriotic songs from our music therapists, touching words from our social worker and volunteer coordinator, and a meaningful pinning led by our Vet to Vet volunteers.

We're proud to bring these moments of comfort and recognition to veterans, reminding them that their service is deeply valued.
