Consistency is closely connected to neuroplasticity, the process that involves adaptive structural and functional changes to the brain. It is fundamental to developing and maintaining consistent behaviors. Each time we engage in a consistent action, we fortify the neural pathways that facilitate that action. 🧠

Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter. It plays a role as a “reward center” and in many body functions, including memory, movement, motivation, mood, attention, and more. Try to focus on healthy dopamine hits rather than ones that come from negative/harmful choices 😉

We must try to be open-minded. To maintain an open-minded perspective we need to actively consider different viewpoints and ideas without prematurely dismissing them, essentially allowing our mind to explore possibilities freely.

This can be achieved through practices like actively listening to others, seeking diverse perspectives, questioning your own assumptions, and engaging in mentally stimulating activities like learning new things or solving puzzles.

Neuroscientists have found that creativity actually draws on your entire brain.

Brain processing speed is a complex cognitive function that reflects the efficiency with which the brain processes information.

It's important to have activities that can improve brain function, including creativity, memory, and problem-solving skills. This is because novel activities stimulate the brain and increase neuroplasticity.

Your brain contains four main lobes. 🧠

The frontal lobe is important for cognitive functions and control of voluntary movement or activity. The prefrontal cortex in the frontal lobe plays an important part in memory, intelligence, concentration, temper and personality.

The parietal lobe processes information about temperature, taste, touch and movement. A person’s memory, and the new sensory information received, give meaning to objects.

The occipital lobe is primarily responsible for vision. It can influence how we process colors and shapes. The occipital lobe on the right interprets visual signals from the left visual space, while the left occipital lobe performs the same function for the right visual space.

The temporal lobe is located on each side of the brain at about ear level. An area on the right side is involved in visual memory and helps humans recognize objects and peoples' faces. An area on the left side is involved in verbal memory and helps humans remember and understand language. The rear of the temporal lobe enables humans to interpret other people’s emotions and reactions.

The parietal lobes can be divided into two functional regions.🧠

One involves sensation and perception and the other is concerned with integrating sensory input, primarily with the visual system.

The first function integrates sensory information to form a single perception (cognition).

The second function constructs a spatial coordinate system to represent the world around us.

Individuals with damage to the parietal lobes often show striking deficits, such as abnormalities in body image and spatial relations

The temporal lobes encompass several anatomical regions with distinct functional roles involving the special senses of audition, olfaction, and vision, as well as the complex processes of language, memory, and emotion.

The principal symptoms of temporal lobe damage are disorders of auditory perception, visual perception, object recognition, episodic memory, semantic memory, language comprehension, and affective behavior.

The occipital lobe is located at the very back of the brain beneath the occipital bone and behind the parietal and temporal lobes.

The occipital lobes are a part of the brain responsible for processing visual information, such as object recognition, color perception, depth perception, and motor detection.

It is the smallest lobe of the brain, accounting for around 12% of the total surface area of the brain’s cortex.
