“I did PT… but I’m still not right.”
We hear that more than we should.
After
-ACL surgery
-rotator cuff repair
-joint replacements
-knee, shoulder, and back injuries
People finish therapy but they don’t feel confident, they don’t trust their body, and they’re not back to 100%. And honestly, that’s often not what insurance is built for.
Most rehab today is built around
-time limits
-visit caps
-treating multiple patients at once.
That makes it hard to give people what they truly need. And to be fair, there are a lot of great therapists out there, but many are stuck working within a system that doesn’t allow them to give their best care.
What people really need is hands-on treatment, a clear step-by-step plan, and one-on-one time with someone fully focused on them.
That’s why Trina and I made a change 5 years ago. We stepped out of that system so we could put people first.
We’re not rushing you through. We’re not handing you off. We’re not just checking boxes. We’re asking why this happened, what still isn’t right, and how to make sure it doesn’t come back.
Most insurance plans only cover return to basic function. Can you walk? Can you dress yourself? Can you get through the day? Those things matter, but most people want more than that. They want to go for walks, play pickleball, get on the floor with their kids or grandkids, and feel good doing it.
Now don’t get me wrong insurance still plays a valuable part to rehab and recovery. We absolutely appreciate that but often times we find ourselves in the predicament that is “does insurance cover that”
Here is the ultimate goal. To help you move better, get stronger, and feel confident again.
If you’ve been through PT and feel like something was missing, you’re not crazy. There’s just a different way to do it.
Here is a reminder that Winning Edge accepts all Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
