“I did PT… but I’m still not right.”

We hear that more than we should.

After
-ACL surgery
-rotator cuff repair
-joint replacements
-knee, shoulder, and back injuries

People finish therapy but they don’t feel confident, they don’t trust their body, and they’re not back to 100%. And honestly, that’s often not what insurance is built for.

Most rehab today is built around
-time limits
-visit caps
-treating multiple patients at once.

That makes it hard to give people what they truly need. And to be fair, there are a lot of great therapists out there, but many are stuck working within a system that doesn’t allow them to give their best care.

What people really need is hands-on treatment, a clear step-by-step plan, and one-on-one time with someone fully focused on them.

That’s why Trina and I made a change 5 years ago. We stepped out of that system so we could put people first.

We’re not rushing you through. We’re not handing you off. We’re not just checking boxes. We’re asking why this happened, what still isn’t right, and how to make sure it doesn’t come back.

Most insurance plans only cover return to basic function. Can you walk? Can you dress yourself? Can you get through the day? Those things matter, but most people want more than that. They want to go for walks, play pickleball, get on the floor with their kids or grandkids, and feel good doing it.

Now don’t get me wrong insurance still plays a valuable part to rehab and recovery. We absolutely appreciate that but often times we find ourselves in the predicament that is “does insurance cover that”

Here is the ultimate goal. To help you move better, get stronger, and feel confident again.

If you’ve been through PT and feel like something was missing, you’re not crazy. There’s just a different way to do it.

Here is a reminder that Winning Edge accepts all Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.

🌍 Happy World Health Day

Health looks different for everyone.

For some, it’s getting back to sport.
For others, it’s walking without pain…
holding a child…
regaining balance…
or simply feeling confident in their body again.

Physical therapy meets people in those moments—
helping restore movement, function, and quality of life.

It’s not just rehab.
It’s helping people get back to what matters most.

A Small Favor to Help Us Keep Growing

This isn’t something we have really ever been great at asking for… asking for reviews has never come naturally to us.

At the core of what we do, we believe this is God’s work, and that alone is enough reason to show up and serve people well every single day.

We’ve always believed that if we just stay faithful, serve well, that would be enough.

And in many ways, it is.

But we’ve also come to realize that there are still so many people in our community who don’t know we’re here… or don’t know how we may be able to help them.

And that’s where you come in.

If you’ve had a positive experience with us, leaving a Google review is one of the most meaningful ways to help others find care they may truly need.

Not for us—but for the next person searching, struggling, or needing guidance.

Sharing a few words can truly be a way to pay it forward to someone else.

How to Leave a Google Review:
1. Open Google
2. Search “Winning Edge Physical Therapy”
3. Click on our business page
4. Tap “Reviews”
5. Click “Write a Review”
6. Share your experience (even a few words means a lot!)

Cheers to Five Years!!!

Five Years Ago, Trina and I took an incredible leap of faith, right in the midst of the uncertainty of Covid.
We didn't know exactly what it would become...
But we knew one thing was for sure:
We wanted to serve this community differently
We wanted to serve this community the way it truly deserves to be served
With a Faith First, Holistic, Individualized approach, one that removes the barriers and frustrations, so many of our friends and family have experienced in Healthcare
Over the past 5 years, we've had the privilege of walking alongside so many of you:
through pain, healing, trials and tribulations, setbacks and most importantly the comebacks...
and for some of you, even the most incredible birth stories,

Winning Edge was never meant to be just another therapy clinic.
It's about the people
It's about relationships.
It's about phenomenal outcomes
It's about showing up when it matters most and helping guide you through your healthcare journey

We have been abundantly blessed these past 5 years, and we have God and all of you, to thank.
Without our faith and this incredible community, we would not be here today and for that we are very thankful.

And the best part... we're just getting started.
This April is all about YOU
and truthfully, 2026 is going to be all about YOU

We have some very exciting things coming that we truly believe will help elevate the health and wellness of this community

From the Bottom of our Hearts

THANK YOU!!!!!

Winning Edge Physical Therapy is, and always be, about YOU.

Many people are surprised to experience pain at the bottom of the kneecap after a total knee replacement.

Have you felt this during your recovery?

At Winning Edge Physical Therapy, we see this often—and one of the most common reasons is patellar tendon irritation (patellar tendinopathy).

The patellar tendon connects your kneecap to your shinbone and is heavily involved in nearly every rehab movement—standing up, walking, stairs, and strengthening exercises.

Here’s where many people get stuck:

1. You went into surgery already deconditioned
Months (or years) of pain often lead to less movement, weaker muscles, and a tendon that isn’t ready for higher demand.

2. You finally feel better… so you push it
Pain improves → motivation goes up, so you do more
It’s common to start doing exercises multiple times a day, every day.

3. Muscles improve faster than tendons
This is a big one. Your strength may be coming back—but your tendon hasn’t caught up yet.

4. Rehab exercises load this area more than you think
• Straight leg raises
• Knee extensions
• Sit-to-stands
• Step-ups
• Stairs

These are all great exercises—but without proper dosing, they can overload the tendon.

What does that overload look like?
-Pain right below the kneecap
-Tenderness to touch
-Increased discomfort with stairs or getting up from chair
-Feel like you’re “doing everything right” but still hurting

The good news:

This is usually very manageable. At Winning Edge Physical Therapy, we don’t just push harder—we guide the process:

• Adjusting how often you exercise
• Modifying intensity (not just stopping)
• Progressively building strength the right way
• Making sure your movement patterns are working for you, not against you

Recovery is not about doing more.

It’s about doing the right amount, at the right time.

If you’re dealing with this kind of pain, drop a comment or send us a message. We’re happy to help guide you in the right direction.

Have you experienced this during your knee replacement recovery?
