Last night my hometown of London, KY was devastated by a catastrophic tornado — with 20+ lives lost, many still missing, dozens injured, and over 400 homes destroyed. Families are facing unimaginable loss, and they need our help now more than ever.

This morning, I arrived at my office only to find that the city’s snow removal efforts have piled up snow 3-4 feet high at the entrance gate, completely blocking access. As a result, I am unable to enter my office from the usual route. It's bad enough that the street parking is piled up with snow, but understandable. This forces patients to park in the city parking lot, but because access to the gate is blocked by the snow, they have to walk around the block to get to the front entrance. There were plenty of other empty parking spaces to pile the snow without blocking anyone's gate.

While I appreciate the work that goes into clearing snow, it’s incredibly frustrating to see such poor planning that directly impacts access to essential business operations. It is imperative that proper care is taken to ensure entrances and exits are cleared so that businesses can function smoothly, especially after significant snowfall.

I’m sharing photos of the current situation to highlight the issue. Hopefully, the city will address this and ensure it doesn’t continue in the future. Thanks City of Versailles, Kentucky
