Do you ever wonder what goes through some people’s minds when they talk to you about your health?

I like to think that people are mostly good and think they’re helping when they say dumb or insensitive things…but sometimes OMGosh.

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever heard someone say about your health journey?

My dos and don’ts of self-care for hormone and gut health

I love it when my clients are empowered to take their health into their own hands, especially when it comes to improving hormone balance and gut health. Here are my essential dos and don’ts

Do:
Do #1: Ask about possible interactions. If you're taking supplements or medication, consult with your doctor about potential interactions.
Do #2: Be consistent, make sure to take your supplements, and follow your health routine regularly.
Do #3: Follow directions, making sure to adhere to the recommended dosages and instructions for any supplements or practices you are incorporating.

Don’t:
Don’t # 1 Ignore symptoms if something doesn't feel right or you're not seeing results. Dones hesitate to reach out for help.
Don’t overlook stress management. Stress can significantly impact hormone balance and gut health.
Don’t neglect your nutrition. Remember that what you eat plays a crucial role in how you feel.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been dealing with fatigue, bloating, brain fog, or hormone imbalance—or how bad you think your situation is.

It’s never too late to make a change.

All that’s needed to get started is a desire for transformation and the willingness to take the steps that support healing. That’s it.

It’s never about comparing yourself to someone else or deciding whether you’re “better off” or “worse off.” It’s about what you want for your life and your desire to feel well again.

This kind of advice completely misses the point. It ignores the root causes behind why the body might be struggling—like hormone imbalances, blood sugar swings, inflammation, or chronic stress.

How about we change our language and say:
“My body isn’t broken—it’s communicating. I’m focusing on nourishing it, balancing my hormones, and supporting my metabolism so it can thrive.”

That sounds so much better to me…what do you think?
