Gavyn has been chosen for the May employee of the month. Currently, Gavyn is a senior at Owego Free Academy and will be graduating later this month. Afterwards, he plans on attending SUNY Broome to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts, and would love to one day have a restaurant of his own. Gavyn has worked at Brookdale Castle Gardens for a little over a year and says his favorite part of the job is being able to meet new people and truly get to know each resident. In his free time, Gavyn enjoys reading, riding dirt bikes, as well as playing basketball and bird watching. Gavyn's hard work and dedication to the residents make him stand out, and he is appreciated very much in our community. Thank you, Gavyn, for all of your contributions and efforts!

Kathy O’Donnell has been chosen for April’s Everyday Hero! Cathy has been working at Brookdale Castle Gardens for three and a half years; however, she has worked as a waitress since she was 15 years old. She also worked as a custodian at Binghamton University for 32 years. In her free time, Cathy enjoys shopping at TJ Maxx and listening to disco music. Cathy is greeted at home each night by her husband Tom, whom she has been married to for 44 years, and her cat named Gretchen. Cathy’s favorite part of her job is seeing the residents every day. Thank you, Cathy, for all that you do!
