Conversations are so important so that everyone understands the issues.

The Arts Education Alliance is pleased to learn that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has finally released the more than $6 billion in federal education funds that were due to schools on July 1.

Thank you to all who worked toward the release of these funds!

We are so proud of Charles Henderson and Tuscaloosa academy. Their Troop Directors and programs are wonderful examples of excellence.

Congratulations to the 21 schools newly named as recipients of the Disney on Broadway School of Excellence Grant! This program recognizes middle and high schools for exceptional student-led involvement in theatre production and is a partnership between the Educational Theatre Foundation, Disney Theatrical Group, and Music Theatre International.

Advocacy Day is here! A coalition of EdTA educators, students, and supporters are meeting directly with representatives on Capitol Hill today to advocate for theatre education in schools, and call for the restoration of funds in the 2026 budget and release of the 6.8 billion allocated funds to state education departments.
