Pioneer Memorial Hospital Announces Lynn Peterson Employee of the Month for May
Lynn Peterson, Director of Patient Financial Services for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services has been named as the May Employee of the Month. Lynn started working with Pioneer Memorial in October 2024.
He is responsible for overseeing charge capture and billing, claims submission and follow-up, denial management and appeals, patient collections and customer service. Lynn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Management from Yankton College and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with inactive status in South Dakota.
Lynn lives in the rural Irene area. His family includes his sister Kristi Brodersen-Leffring, brother-in-law Todd and nephew Clay.
In his spare time Lynn enjoys running, hiking and reading.
Those who nominated Lynn said he works tirelessly to find the answers to all questions brought to him and is extremely knowledgeable. He always has a great attitude, even in stressful situations. Lynn is always willing to lend a hand and help figure out problems as they arise. He goes above and beyond for the patients and his team!
When asked what he thought of the award Lynn stated: “I feel honored. It is a privilege to work at Pioneer Memorial Hospital and health services. I work with a fantastic team. It was a total surprise!”
