Sunday from the saddle 🐴

Some days don’t need to be big or perfect or productive to matter. Sometimes it’s just about having a good day on purpose. Sun on your shoulders, dirt on your boots, and a horse that reminds you to stay right in the moment.

Life gets loud fast. Plans change, things don’t go how you pictured, and it’s easy to feel like you’re always chasing something. But there’s something grounding about just… living it. Not rushing it. Not overthinking it. Just being there for it.

A good ride, a quiet barn, a little laughter in between chores that counts too.

So today, let it be simple. Let it be light. Let it be enough. 🤍

Raylah and Frosty 🤍

A long-awaited day for these two.

Handling Frosty on her own was Raylah’s biggest goal, and she earned every bit of this moment. Over the past 30 days, we focused on consistent daily work groundwork, desensitizing, correction, and building confidence through saddling and handling.

When Frosty first came in, she was anxious, pushy, and quick to walk all over you just to take in her surroundings. She had previously handled best with a chain. That method just doesn’t work safely so we really dug deep our first wee.

Today felt like a full-circle moment. I’m not sure if Raylah was more surprised that she could confidently handle Frosty, or that Frosty was so willing to meet her there but watching her confidence grow in both herself and her horse was everything.

She handled, lunged, and saddled her with purpose. And when Frosty surfaced a test, Raylah stepped up and corrected it right away. That kind of growth is what this is all about.

We ended the day swinging a leg over and walking off calm, confident, and together.

Tomorrow wraps up Frosts first 30 days, and then we move into the next chapter: riding, refining, and getting these two fully in sync 🔥💪🏼
