💙 Strengthening Safety Through Compassion & Training 💙
Law enforcement officers from multiple Southwest Mississippi agencies proudly graduated from the second Crisis Response and Intervention Training (CIT) class hosted by River Ridge Behavioral Health – Region 15.
This intensive 40-hour, week-long training (January 12–16, 2026) focused on recognizing mental health crises, practicing de-escalation techniques, and connecting individuals with the right resources — helping divert people from jail when appropriate while improving officer and community safety.
Held at the United Way of West Central Mississippi in Vicksburg, the class brought together officers and deputies from Adams, Claiborne, and Jefferson Counties, along with the Natchez and Port Gibson Police Departments.
👏 Special thank you to our CIT Coordinators for their leadership and dedication:
• Jeanine Hanks, Director of Outpatient Services
• Alisha Jones-Creel, Special Projects Coordinator
• Emily Shiers, Navigate Team Leader
Your commitment continues to make a lasting impact across our communities.
📸 Congratulations to all graduates for investing in training that promotes empathy, understanding, and safer outcomes for everyone.
