Caring Hands Pediatric Extended Care of Vicksburg

A day health nursing facility for medically fragile children located in Vicksburg, MS We also provide transportation to and from our center.

We work in conjunction with your child's doctor, our Board Certified Pediatric Medical Director and other community organizations to ensure you child's needs are met. Our focus is to provide maximum early intervention to prepare children for life situations. We provide skilled nursing care in our facility for up to 10 hours a day Monday through Friday which includes learning through play and socia

lization. Parents and caregivers of our patients are given the opportunity to return to work or school while resting assured that their special needs child is receiving the best possible care from qualified nursing staff. A doctor's order is required to begin our services. Your child's care may be covered by their Medicaid if their medical condition requires skilled nursing care. With approval, Mississippi Medicaid fully covers the cost of care. Common conditions and needs of children eligible include: Cardiac Disease, Respiratory Disorders, Oxygen Dependent, Trach Care, G-tube care, Seizure Disorders, Failure to Thrive, Genetic Disorders, Congenital Disorders, Neuromuscular Disorders, Cath care, IV therapy, IM injections, Ventilator Care, Wound Care, etc.

Nurses Week 2026 was a great week! Big shout out to our owner, Barbie Clark, for spoiling us in every way! We are so grateful! Also, we want to thank our patient’s families, Nora Tierra Walker, Bessie Williams & Randy Williiams and our therapists, Catelyn-Hayden Skipper & Babbette Skipper for the goodies and the amazing food! We have enjoyed it all!❤️
