Many people who face challenges to their will be able to receive help from a professional counselor. In addition to helping those seeking holistic wellness, professional counselors need to be able to care for their own mental health.

Who is Dr. Casy McNemar?

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor (LPC-S) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), currently providing therapeutic services to children from ages 4 and up, counseling to older children (under 12), adolescents (12-17), and adults (18+) of all ages. I provide psychotherapy (counseling/therapy) to individuals with various issues including but not limited to Anxiety Disorders (e.g., Social Anxiety Disorder [SAD], Generalized Anxiety Disorder [GAD], etc.); Depressive Disorders (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder [MDD], Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder [PMDD], Complicated Grief, etc.); Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and other areas with which one might be experiencing problems. Mood disorders, and Career-related challenges, Affectional (Sexual) Orientation, Sexual Dysfunction, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, etc.

Other specific areas of therapeutic concentration are Marriage & Family Therapy and Substance Use Disorders (SUDs). Specifically, I have completed separate academic Doctoral-level research on the connection between SUDs, specifically Alcohol Use Disorders (AUDs) and how the addictive drug use affects relationships (e.g., spouse, partner, etc.) in the context of the individual’s tendency to have formed an attachment to the substance as a form of security, stability, and predictability.
