OutFront Multisport Performance based endurance coaching, sports nutrition & strength training for busy runners and triathletes Hey athletes. What are my qualifications to help you?

I'm a triathlon/run coach that specializes in helping athletes turn their endurance dreams into reality. I do this through my 6 pillars of long distance success: mindset, endurance training, strength training, injury prevention, daily nutrition and sports nutrition. I believe to be the most successful athlete, and one who's body can train and race year after year, you must hit each of those pillar

s. I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in exercise physiology and sports nutrition. I'm a certified triathlon coach, running coach, and sports nutritionist (CISSN). I have been an athlete nearly my entire life, starting swimming at age 8, and swimming collegiately. I've been competing in triathlon for 15+ years, and coaching for 10+ years. I'd love to speak with you about 1:1 coaching/nutrition, or to have you join our team: Team Fueled Racing. DM me for more info.

4 min PR here for Sanjana in the Flower City Half Marathon! Way to go!

Jenni also raced, but instead of going for a PR, she used it as a training run to complete a training block towards her ultra marathon in a few weeks. She had just come off of 3x 50 mile weeks and a 3 hour run. And she was only a few min off her PR.

Terri ran with friends in the Seneca 7s and they did awesome.

A big congrats to all of our racers!

Brett and I are excited to share something new: OutFront Youth Running Club.

We've had this vision for a while-to create a place where kids can do more than just run. A place where they can build confidence, learn leadership, get stronger, faster, and have fun.

This club is designed for boys and girls ages 6–13 and will include of course running, plus running drills, plyometrics, strength, games, nutrition, teamwork, and mindset lessons in a fun, supportive environment.

Because helping kids become stronger and faster athletes is awesome. But helping them realize they are strong, capable, and can build their confidence is even better.

We'll put the registration link in the comments, and shoot us a DM with any questions.

Not only was it a Boston Marathon PR, but an overall PR too! Donna put in the work and kept her pace strong to a 3:31 finish at Boston yesterday! It feels awesome to know that you're ready to run, and execute on race day. We're so proud of her hard work!

And as she was coming to the finishing chute, she tripped and fell. She not only lost time, she injured her hand. Two women stopped their race to help her back up. What awesome people they were!

Good luck to all the runners, and those who might walk (Thanks Nike) in Boston tomorrow, and especially Donna, who's been putting in such hard work.

Boston is certainly such an accomplishment for so many athletes. It takes such hard work, commitment and dedication to qualify and the execute a strong race there.

The weather is looking like it's going to be great marathon running weather. Have fantastic races everyone!

Sunshine and warmer temps (does 52 degrees count?)= working outside.

Working on the finishing touches of my nutrition presentation tonight for the DFW multisport club.

Training nutrition, race day nutrition, hydration, womens specific, strength training and more.

Strength training for endurance athletes day 3. Day three brings us the exercise groups 5 and 6 of what makes up a strong (lol) strength program.

We’ve had: squat and hinge, push and pull and now we have carry and anti rotation.

Carry and anti rotation are more core focused exercises with the goal to build a strong “powerhouse” (borrowing a Pilates word) to support the rest of our strength.

Carry is what it says..a carry. Single or double, both are great. Anti rotation is also pretty self explanatory. The goal is stopping rotation if the body. Both have great benefits for endurance athletes. Here are two exercises to try. Both can be done by time or reps, but we do them by time- :30-:60 sec.

This guy right here has so much heart. Let me brag on him for a minute. He not only is a great husband and father, but owns his own business, coaches his son’s hockey team, volunteers for the Ironman charity 1% Better and still manages to run his own races.

Unfortunately he entered this weekend sick, and his race wasn’t exactly what he was hoping for. But…when we say it’s about the journey and not just the destination, we mean it. We’re all super proud of you Jeff!

What happens when life gives you lemons 🍋 and you’ve been training for your big A race?

You decide to push through and still give it everything you’ve got!

Unfortunately Jeff just came down with a virus this week, the week of his marathon.

He’s been training hard, making sacrifices, getting up early, running in brutal weather, etc. But he knows that some things are out of our control. So he’s controlling the controllables. This week his job has been to rest and hydrate and try to fight this virus.

No matter what, it’s the journey and not the destination. There will be other races. But I want to acknowledge that it’s still a pretty crummy situation to get sick. And hopefully this extra rest helps to kick it fully away!

Good luck Jeff!

How to put your endurance strength training program together-day 2..Push and Pull

Now these two might not seem as correlational as the squat or hinge, but they definitely can be. Especially the pull given you can really improve your upper body strength and efficiency/endurance through power.

Give these a go and let me know what you think. And have fun!
