One who knew your whole family, and took the time to talk to you about all your health issues and concerns, not just your current symptoms? We at Storybook Farm want to be your pet's family doctor ... we still believe in taking the time we need to get to you and your pet(s). Located just outside of Rochester in Victor, NY, we are a group of dedicated veterinarians and other animal professionals that would love to welcome you and your pets into our family. We provide you with quality veterinarian care throughout your pet's life - we want to be your partner in your pet's care. Although we have what some might call old-fashioned approach to our care, our facility offers the latest in modern veterinary equipment, as well as an on-site laboratory and pharmacy for your convenience. Our surgical suite also includes an x-ray room and a separate recovery wing for our patients. If you need to board your pet(s), we also have both an indoor boarding area and outdoor runs for your pet's enjoyment during nice weather.

Sweet Mimi is going to be a guide dog. We have so enjoyed watching her grow and playing a small part in making her feel comfortable and confident in many situations. Our technician Kiley and her owner worked with her during her monthly nails trims on how to stand quietly for exams and treatment. Her raiser shared the good news with a photo and some snacks for our staff. Way to go Mimi you are such a wonderful dog and you will make your future owner very happy.

With a little more snow in the forecast going into the weekend and temps in the single digits and teens this chart is a good reminder of how the cold effects dogs- especially their feet, and when we should skip walks and find indoor activities for them.

Update on Monday hours due to storm-

We will have a delayed opening on Monday January 26th due to inclement weather. At this time we plan on having doctors and staff in at 10 am and will do scheduled surgeries and appointments. We will be reevaluating this early tomorrow am-so it’s a good idea to call the office before you head out. 585-924-7740. If you need to cancel your appointments we understand and will get you rescheduled. Stay safe and warm.

Not only are we adding on to our hospital- we are also adding a new DVM starting this summer! Victoria Kwasinski will graduate from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine this May and start her professional career at Storybook Farm Veterinary Hospital. We have had the pleasure of having her on staff since 2014 in various positions and have witnessed her educational journey and passion for the profession. This is a full-circle moment and we couldn’t be more excited. In addition to dogs and cats she also sees exotics.
