Strain Spotlight – Hippie P**s ✌️💦

Does a little celebratory dance on the counter.

Don't let the name scare you off! I promise it’s much more "flower" and much less "fire hydrant." Today we are talking about Hippie P**s!

While some folks prefer the quiet, sleepy vibes of a classic like Northern Lights (which is perfect for a long winter’s nap in a cozy nest), Hippie P**s is for the mice—and humans—who want to get things done.

The Mouse Report:

The Lineage: This is a funky cross that brings some serious sativa energy to the table.

The Aroma: It’s got a pungent, earthy, and slightly sweet scent that hits my whiskers the second the jar opens. It’s "loud" in the best way possible.

The Vibe: This is pure "scurry fuel." It’s uplifting, clear-headed, and perfect for creative projects or just finding the motivation to tackle those chores you’ve been avoiding.

If you want to feel like you’re frolicking through a summer festival without leaving your living room, this is your winner. Come by and see why this oddly-named flower is a house favorite! 🐭🌈

Wobbling slightly near a pint glass.

Did you know it’s National Beer Day? Humans have been celebrating this since 1933! Now, I’m a tiny guy, so one drop of a stout and I’m singing karaoke in the rafters. But I do know that beer and certain "flowers" share a very important cousin: Hops!

Both hops and cannabis have those amazing things called terpenes (remember our Limonene talk earlier today?). Whether you’re cracking a cold one or sparking up a pre-roll, you’re enjoying the best of the plant kingdom. Just remember to enjoy responsibly—nobody wants to see a tipsy mouse trying to operate a label printer again! 🐭🍻

Sniffing the air with expert precision.

It’s World Health Day, and I’m thinking about the "medicine" in Zen Medicine. Today’s terpene is Limonene! It’s that bright, citrusy scent that makes me feel like I’m running through a lemon grove. It’s great for uplifting your mood and relieving stress—perfect for keeping your mental health in check. Look for it in strains like Super Lemon Haze! 🍋🐭

Motivational Monday (International Day of Sport) 🏃‍♂️

Standing tall on a stack of business cards.

"It always seems impossible until it’s done." — Nelson Mandela.

Even a small mouse can move big crumbs if he tries hard enough! It’s Monday, and the week ahead might look like a giant mountain, but you’ve got the heart of a lion (or at least a very brave rodent). Let’s get after it. If you need a little "fuel" for your inner athlete, you know where to find me. 🐭✨

Easter: More Than Just a Bad Day for Carrots 🥕🐰

If you thought Easter was just an excuse to eat your weight in chocolate-covered marshmallow chicks, you’re only about 10% wrong. Here’s the "brief but beefy" breakdown of where this holiday actually comes from:

The Roots
The Religious Side: For Christians, it’s the oldest and most important festival, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s essentially the "Season Finale" of Holy Week.

The Pagan Side: The name "Easter" likely comes from Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility. Her symbols? Hares and eggs. (Because nothing says "fertility" like animals that can have 40 babies a year).

Why the Eggs and Bunnies?
The Egg: Long before plastic versions filled with jellybeans, the egg was a symbol of new life and the "rebirth" of the earth after a cold winter.

The Bunny: This tradition likely hopped over from Germany in the 1700s. Known as "Oschter Haws," this fabled rabbit would lay colored eggs for well-behaved children. Think of him as Santa, but shorter and with better hearing.

The Fun Fact
Easter is a "movable feast," meaning it doesn't have a fixed date. It’s always the first Sunday after the full moon following the spring equinox. So, if you’re ever confused about the date, don’t check your watch—check the moon! 🌕

Pro-Tip: If you’re hiding real eggs this Sunday, write down where you put them. Otherwise, "The Great Egg Hunt" becomes "The Great Smell of May." 🥚🤢

Happy hunting! 🐣✨

Twitches nose at the colorful decorations.

Happy Easter, friends! While you’re out there hunting for plastic eggs, I’m busy scouting for the real treasures—like that stray piece of "grass" that fell behind the display. Whether you’re celebrating the holiday or just enjoying a quiet Sunday, I hope your baskets are full and your stash is plenty. Come see us if you need to hop into a better mood! 🐰💨

The View from the Floorboards

Oh, friend, you have no idea! From down here, it looked like a giant-sized game of Twister gone horribly wrong. One minute I’m scouting for a fallen Cheeto, and the next, I’m dodging a blizzard of sticky thermal paper.

To answer your question: Six. It takes exactly six humans to battle the Beast of the Register.

The Breakdown of the Chaos:

One to actually hold the manual.

Two to poke at the buttons while saying, "Wait, did it always make that clicking noise?"

One to give Kori the "please don't fire us" look.

One to contemplate that highlighter sacrifice mentioned (I saw a neon yellow one—it was a close call).

One to stand there and provide moral support/vague directions. (That would of been me)

I’m glad it’s finally behaving itself, but tell the team to keep their voices down! Every time that printer hiccups, I jump so high I nearly hit the counter. If it starts acting up again, just leave a piece of extra-sharp cheddar near the feeder... I have a few "ideas" on how to keep the gears turning. 😉

Ever wonder why I’m always scurrying around the register looking stressed? It’s not just because I’m looking for crumbs (though, let’s be real, a little cheddar wouldn’t hurt). 🧀

It’s because the label printer has decided to stage a rebellion. It’s spitting out sticky paper like it’s confetti and honestly, I think it’s mocking me.

Our wonderfully awesome manager, Kori had to call in the whole team, and it’s starting to look like a slapstick comedy over here. So, it got me thinking...

How many people does it take to fix a label printer? 🖨️💥
Is it two? Is it five? Does it require a ritual sacrifice of a high-quality highlighter? Drop your best guesses in the comments!

I’ll be tallying up the chaos and posting the "official" (and probably embarrassing) answer this Sunday.

Get to guessing! 👇

Ever wonder why we spend April 1st playing pranks? 🤡

Historians think it dates back to 1582, when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. Back then, the New Year started around April 1st with the Spring Equinox. Those who were slow to get the news and kept celebrating in April were called 'April Fools.' 📅 🐭

At Zen Medicine, we think being 'in the know' is much better. While the rest of the world is busy trying to trick you today, we’re keeping it 100% real. No pranks, no mystery—just high-quality, locally grown Montana goodness that helps you leave the 'foolish' stress of the week behind. 🏔️✨

Don't get caught playing the fool—come find your Zen and start your April on a high note! 🐭
