Thank you, Judge Jhiela "Gigi" Poynter - Refugio County Judge! We are here to help anyway we can.

At Commissioners Court this week, I spoke about my experience handling mental health commitments as County Judge. One reality I’ve seen too often, firsthand: substance abuse is often a *barrier* to treatment, when families desperately need a bridge.

Grateful to work with the Billy T. Cattan Recovery Outreach Center to help bridge the gap. By expanding access to support and recovery resources, we strengthen families-- and our entire community.

At Billy T. Cattan – One Hope, our mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, and service. We proudly serve the communities of Refugio, Jackson, Hallettsville, and Victoria, providing free community-based services to individuals and families in need. And coming soon; Goliad, Gonzales and Dewitt Communities.

Our organization offers free Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings, creating safe and supportive spaces for recovery, accountability, and personal growth. In addition, we provide mental health telehealth services, ensuring accessible and confidential support regardless of location or transportation barriers.

Through outreach, advocacy, guidance, recovery support, and mental health services, we meet individuals where they are and walk alongside them through life’s challenges. Our goal is to strengthen lives, restore hope, and build healthier, more resilient communities.
