🌟 Celebrating a Major Milestone! 🌟

Caring Shield Hospice (dba Imperial Hospice and Palliative Care) proudly congratulates Imperial Therapy on the successful completion of its on-site survey from the California Department of Public Health with zero deficiencies!

As part of the Imperial Family, alongside Imperial Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care, this achievement strengthens our collective mission of leading health care at every stage of life.

With this milestone, Imperial Physical Therapy PC is now officially licensed to provide Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Therapy (ST) to the community. While they are ready to begin operations, they will be holding off until their grand opening announcement—coming soon!

We are thrilled to celebrate this success and look forward to the incredible care Imperial Therapy will bring to patients. Congratulations to the entire team!

📢 New Research Publication in Geriatric Rehabilitation 📢

We’re excited to share that a new research study co-authored by Dr. Eleazar Tayag—CEO of Imperial Home Health and Imperial Therapy, and CFO of Imperial Hospice and Palliative Care—has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, contributing to the growing body of evidence in telehealth assessments for older adults.

This marks the third published study that Dr. Tayag has collaborated on, reinforcing efforts to improve accessibility, reliability, and feasibility of virtual mobility assessments in geriatric rehabilitation. The study explores how functional tests administered via telehealth compare to traditional in-person assessments, which is particularly relevant for home health and remote patient care.

🔬 Published Research Studies:

📌 NEW: Latest Published Study
“Reliability and Validity of Functional Assessments Administered via Telehealth for Older Adults”

📌 Concurrent Validity & Reliability of In-Person vs. Virtual Testing
Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy

Why This Research Matters

✅ Improves telehealth assessments – helping clinicians evaluate older adults remotely with greater confidence.
✅ Supports home health practices – offering evidence-based insights for PTs, OTs, and rehabilitation specialists.
✅ Expands access to care – ensuring older adults, especially those in rural or mobility-limited settings, receive accurate functional assessments.

These studies are published in highly respected journals, such as Topics in Geriatric Rehabilitation and Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, both known for their rigorous peer-review process and impact on clinical practice.

Collaboration in research plays a crucial role in advancing evidence-based care, and it’s always rewarding to be part of studies that help improve patient outcomes and accessibility in rehabilitation.
